The BRAYDEN (M13005) is a newly added model to the BRAYDEN manikin lineup, available as a conversion kit that can be applied to a complete manikin or an existing adult manikin. Designed with consideration for diverse racial backgrounds, it enhances inclusivity and diversity in BLS training programs.
Its anatomically accurate nasal and oral structures reflect the characteristics of an adult Black male, enabling more realistic ventilation training.

It includes adult face and torso skins that can be easily installed on an existing BRAYDEN manikin, expanding training environments without the need for additional equipment.

So why has the market focused primarily on light skin tones?
We questioned why most CPR manikins are designed primarily for lighter skin tones.
Some products apply darker colors by coating or painting over lighter molded materials, which can fade over time and reveal the original lighter color underneath.
To overcome these limitations, we use dark-colored base materials throughout the molding process.
This reflects Innosonian’s commitment to respecting diversity.
Anatomically Accurate Nasal and Oral Structures Our goal was to create a facial design that reflects characteristics commonly associated with people of African descent. To achieve this, we studied key anatomical differences across populations, with a particular focus on nasal and oral structures.
As shown in the image below, the shape of the nose and mouth in the BRAYDEN (M13005) is closely linked to variations in facial skeletal structure across diverse populations.

Dark Skin Reflecting African Heritage
Through this process, we have developed a dark skin finish that realistically reflects the characteristics of people of African descent.
While maintaining the full functionality of the light indicators, compatibility with the bag-valve mask (BVM) has also been ensured.
